The Yoga of Herbs
An Ayurvedic Guide to herbal Medicine
The initial part of the book provides background information on the principles of Ayurveda, with particular reference to the concept of Doshas, influencing the physiological and consequently the pathological states of the body. Following this, the authors deal with their classification and preparation.
More than 250 herbs are listed, with 88 herbs explained in detail.
The most important feature of the book for the Western reader is the inclusion of a large number of herbs from West that are not described or identified in the classical text of Ayurveda.
